PuCnet Alumni is a network around the Institute for Corporate Accounting and Controlling (IUC) and the former Institute for Production Management and Controlling (IPC) of the LMU Munich.
PuCnet Alumni brings together students, graduates, current and former employees and companies who are interested in the work of the IUC and in questions of controlling and corporate accounting. PuCnet Alumni is a non-profit organization that pursues non-commercial goals. PuCnet Alumni is based on three thematic pillars, the realization of which is the goal of the association: knowledge, support, networking.
Knowledge. PuCnet Alumni seeks and designs bilateral knowledge transfer between science and practice. The existing potential should be optimally used by closely interlinking both areas and solving new types of problems together. Regular symposiums and lectures on current controlling topics as well as the intensification of practical training and research form the basis for this.
Support. PuCnet Alumni supports teaching and research at the IUC. The aim is to promote new types of research projects and to ensure that teaching is up-to-date through intensified participation in international scientific discourse. In addition, PuCnet Alumni supports outstanding academic achievements.
Network. PuCnet Alumni builds on and maintains a broad and dynamic network. The aim is to create a forum for members to exchange experiences and maintain contacts. PuCnet offers help to establish intensive contacts between the members. This is done, for example, by arranging internships and dissertations or the participation of companies in practical courses.
Members of the PuCnet Alumni Association receive an annual newsletter that provides an overview of the association's current activities, as well as research and teaching at the Institute for Corporate Accounting and Controlling. This allows you to remain connected to the chair even after you have completed your studies.

Premium partners support PuCnet alumni with their membership fee and with the implementation of joint projects that serve the pursuit of our association's purpose.
Through practical lectures, joint research and teaching projects as well as company visits, students of the IUC are granted insights into practice and an exchange between science and practice in research is made possible. Within the framework of various courses, the IUC works together with various practice partners, e.g. BearingPoint, PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH WPG, TÜV Süd AG and Wacker Chemie AG.
If you have any questions, please contact Karl Kappen.
Once a year, PuCnet Alumni organizes a symposium on a current topic as the central annual event. In addition to the professional orientation, this event also serves as a platform for the mutual exchange of experiences and the development of a personal network.
As part of the PuCnet Symposium, the PuCnet Prize for outstanding theses will also be awarded.
PuCnet annually awards prizes to the best graduates of the IUC as part of the PuCnet Symposium. By honoring the most outstanding theses, we underline the importance we attach to the scientific work supervised at the chair.
